For Aloo Tikki
- Potatoes – 4 large (boiled)
- Green Peas – ½ cup (boiled)
- Bread crumbs – 4 tsp
- Corn flour – 1 tsp
- Coriander leaves – 2 tsp (chopped)
- Salt – according to taste
- Red Chilli Powder – ½ tsp
- Garam Masala – ½ tsp
- Oil – 2-3 tsp
To prepare aloo tikki, take boiled potato, peel and mash them. Now add green peas, corn flour, coriander leaves, salt, red chili powder, garam masala in to it and mix them properly and make a smooth dough.
Now divide the dough in to equal parts and roll them in to ball shape. Take one piece of potato ball and gently press it with your palms and extend it in to round shape. Now coat it with bread crumbs from all the sides and do it same for the balance mixture too.
Heat non-stick tawa and put 1 tsp oil on it. When oil gets heated, place 2-3 round shape aloo patties on tawa. Cook it until becomes golden brown in colour from downward side. Now, flip tikkis to the other side and drizzle little oil on tawa so that it can crisp from both the sides.
When it is cooked from both the sides, take it out on tissue paper so that excess oil can get soaked. Aloo Tikki is ready to serve now.
Serving Tip –
You can serve Aloo tikki with tomato ketchup and mint chutney.
