  1. Wheat Flour – 2 Cups
  2. Water – 1 Cup
  3. Salt- according to taste
  4. Oil – 2-3 tsp

For Dough –

Take the wheat flour or atta and add salt in to it according to the taste. Now add little water in to it and start mixing the dough. Add water in to the mixture according its need continue to mix in to it with your hands and collect it together. The flour should not be very tight and nor much sticky. You can use some also on to it and knead it well. Continue to need until the upper layer of the dough becomes smooth. Once it is done, keep the dough aside for some time.

The amount of water should always be half of the amount of flour. Large amount of water makes the dough sticky when you are preparing chapattis.

For chapattis-

Place tawa on the gas to get it heated and make the small ball of dough with your hands in a size of a lemon. Place the ball in dry flour and remove the excess out of it. Now place ball on to the board to roll it in the size of 5-7 inches. You can also apply dry flour on to it in between.
Once it is rolled uniformly which needs lot of practice, place the chapatti on the heated tawa. When the upper layer of chapattis becomes bit dark in colour turn it to other side. Check in between of the roti has dark brown spots on it and turn in to other side again. Now start the chapatti with a cloth so that dark spot becomes on this side as well. Now your chapatti is cooked, remove it from the gas and it is ready to serve. In the same way, you can make as much chapattis you want to prepare.
Serving Tip:

Enjoy your soft chapattis during any time of meal and with vegetables of your choice.
