Lemon Rice

For Lemon Rice

Ingredients –

  1. Rice – 2 Cups (boiled)
  2. Mustard Seeds – ½ tsp
  3. Curry Leaves – 3-4 leaves
  4. Green chillies – 2-3 slit long
  5. Urad Dhuli Dal/-Chana Dal – ½ tsp
  6. Peanuts – 3-4 tsp
  7. Turmeric – ¼ tsp
  8. Coriander leaves – ¼ cup (chopped)
  9. Oil – 2-3 tsp
  10. Salt – according to taste
  11. Lemon Juice – 2 lemons

Method –

In a kadai, heat some oil and add mustard seeds, peanuts, curry leaves, green chillies, dal in to it. Fry all well until it becomes light brown in colour. Now add salt and turmeric powder in to the kadai. After mixing it, add lemon juice to it and add boiled rice to it. Mix the rice well in to the mixture so that rice could get turmeric coating well on it. Lemon rice is ready now, you can garnish it with coriander leaves on it.

Serving Tip –

Serve it hot with Raita.
