Mixed Vegetable

For Mixed Vegetable –

Ingredients –

  1. Beans – 100 g
  2. Potato – 2 medium
  3. Cauliflower – 100 g
  4. Carrots – 2 medium
  5. Capsicum – 2
  6. Peas – ½ cup
  7. Paneer – 100 g
  8. Tomatoes – 2-4 medium (puree)
  9. Green chillies – 1-2 chopped
  10. Ginger – ¼ tsp (grated)
  11. Asafoetida – ¼ tsp
  12. Oil – 2 tsp
  13. Cumin seeds – ½ tsp
  14. Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
  15. Coriander powder – 1 tsp
  16. Salt – according to taste
  17. Red chili powder – ½ tsp
  18. Garam masala – ½ tsp

Method –

Wash the vegetables properly and cut them into small pieces.  Put oil in a pan and add asafoetida, ginger, green chilies and cumin seeds in to it.  Now add tomato puree, spices to the kadai. Cook them until oil separates and add all the chopped vegetables in to it. Mix them well and continue to cook it for some time. Now cover the vegetables and cook on low flame for 6-7 minutes.

Stir vegetables occasionally to check if vegetables are cooked. If you feel that the vegetables are still not cooked, cover the vegetables again and continue to cook on low flame for 3-4 minutes.

Now the vegetable will be cooked and gone soft. Now you can add pieces of paneer and garnish your mixed vegetable with the coriander. The recipe is ready to serve now.

Serving Tip –

Served the mixed vegetable hot with hot chapattis.
