Moong Dal Soup

For Moong Dal Soup

Ingredients –

  1. Sabut Moong – 1 Cup (washed)
  2. Cumin Seeds – ½ tsp
  3. Oil – 2 tsp
  4. Water – 4-5 Cups
  5. Hing – a pinch
  6. Salt – according to taste
  7. Pepper – according to taste
  8. Ginger and Garlic paste – ½ tsp
  9. Coriander – 2-3 tsp (chopped)
  10. Lemon Juice – optional

Method –

  1. In a pressure cooker, take 4-5 cups of water, salt, pepper and add moong to it. Pressure cook it for 4-5 whistles.
  2. Open the cooker once cooker releases its steam. Now blend the moong for few seconds so that it has the consistency of soup.
  3. Now, in a pan heat some 1 tsp of oil and add cumin seeds, hing and ginger garlic paste to it.
  4. Saute them for few seconds and add the soupy moong to it.
  5. Bring it to boil and garnish with coriander leaves.
  6. You can add lemon juice too which optional. Moong Dal soup is ready to serve.
