For Onion Pickle

Ingredients –

  1. Onions – ½ Kg
  2. Mustard Seeds – 2 tsp
  3. Methi Seeds – 2 tsp
  4. Kalonji – 1 tsp
  5. Salt – according to taste
  6. Chilli Powder – 1 tsp
  7. Turmeric Powder – ½ tsp
  8. Mustard Oil – 100 ml

Method –

  1. Peel the onions and clean them with dry cloth.
  2. Slit onion from the top from both the sides.
  3. Mix all the spices and seeds together and stuff the onions with the mixture.
  4. Now keep all the onions in a jar and pour mustard oil into it.
  5. Shake the jar properly so that onions can get mixed with the mustard oil.
  6. Keep the jar under sun for 2-3 days and onion pickle is ready to serve.

Serving Tip –

Serve the pickle with paranthas, khichdi, Rice, Dal or anything you like.
