Paneer Pakora

For Paneer Pakora –

Ingredients –

  1. Besan – 2 Cups
  2. Ajwain – ¼ tsp
  3. Paneer – 250 gms
  4. Ginger and Garlic paste – ½ tsp
  5. Baking Soda – ¼ tsp
  6. Salt – according to taste
  7. Red Chilli powder – ½ tsp
  8. Garam masala – ½ tsp
  9. Oil – for frying

Method –

Take besan in a bowl and add all ingredients in to it except oil. Now add water in to boil and mix together the ingredients to make a smooth batter. Do make sure that there are no lumps in to it. Keep it aside for some time and slice paneer in to thick long strips for pakora.

Now heat some oil in a kadai for frying. Once it get heated dip thick piece of paneer in to the batter and slide it in to hot oil. Deep fry it until it becomes golden brown from both the sides. After the process drain the paneer pakora on a tissue paper and repeat the process for the balance paneer slices (You can also use green chutney between two slices of paneer and then dip in the batter which makes the pakora bit thicker and spicy). Paneer pakora is ready to serve now.

Serving Tip –

Serve them hot with mint sauce or tomato sauce.
