Potato Kulcha

For Potato Kulcha

Ingredients –

For Dough –

  1. Maida – 2 Cups
  2. Sweet Soda – ¼ teaspoon
  3. Curd – 2 spoons
  4. Milk – 2 Spoons
  5. Oil – 3 Spoons
  6. Salt – according to taste

For Stuffing –

  1. Boiled Potatoes – 2
  2. Onions – ½
  3. Green Chilli -2 Flakes
  4. Mint leaf – 8-10
  5. Green Coriander – ½ cup
  6. Anardana – 1 Spoon
  7. Red Chilli – ½ teaspoon
  8. Cumin Seeds – 1 teaspoon
  9. Butter – 2 teaspoon
  10. Salt – according to taste

Method –

In Maida, mix salt and soda. Now add milk, curd and water and turn it in to soft dough. Leave it open for ten minutes and after that pour little oil on it and cover it with wet cloth for 2 hours. After 2 hours, now make small balls of this dough.
Mash the boiled potatoes and add onions, green chili, green coriander, mint (all should be finely chopped), anardana, Red chili powder, cumin powder, and salt as taste.

Now put the stuffing in to the dough balls of maida and stretch them out and start rolling the dough balls in to flat round shape. Sprinkle some oil on to them. Now put some oil on to the baking tray and preheat the oven at 220 degree centigrade and put them in to oven for 6-8 minutes and after flip them so that it can get baked from both the sides.

Or you can cook them on hot tawa from both the sides after putting oil on to it.

Serving tip:

serve the Potato Kulcha with green chutney, butter or Chickpeas.
