Potato Lolipops

For Potato Lolipops –

Ingredients

  1. Boiled potato – 2-3 or 1½ cup
  2. Bread crumbs – ½ cup
  3. Onions – ¼ cup (finely chopped)
  4. Coriander leaves – 2-3 tsp (finely chopped)
  5. Ginger garlic paste – 1 tsp
  6. Red Chilli powder – ¼ tsp
  7. Coriander powder – 1 tsp
  8. Amchur powder or lemon juice – ½ tsp
  9. Salt – according to taste
  10. MaidaM – 2 tsp
  11. Bread crumbs – ¼ cup
  12. Oregano – 1 tsp
  13. Chilli flakes – 1 tsp
  14. Oil – for deep frying

For dip:

  1. Mayonnaise – 3 tsp
  2. Yogurt – ¼ cup
  3. Sugar – 1 tsp
  4. Salt – a pinch
  5. Black pepper – a pinch
  6. Fine chopped onions – 2 tsp

Method –

  1. In a small bowl, take maida and add little water at a time and make a smooth paste.
  2. Now, in a plate mix together bread crumbs, chilli flakes and oregano and keep it aside.
  3. In a mixing bowl grate potato and add onions, coriander leaves, bread crumbs, ginger garlic paste, red chilli powder, coriander powder, amchur powder and salt.
  4. Mix them nicely and make small size balls out of it.
  5. Now heat the oil at medium heat. Once you are ready to fry take potato balls dip them in maida paste.
  6. Take them out and roll them in bread crumbs.
  7. Now roll each ball between your palms so that bread crumbs sticks properly and don’t come out while frying.
  8. Fry them till they are golden brown and potato lolipops are ready to serve.
  9. To make a dip mix together mayonnaise, yogurt, salt, sugar, onions till they are smooth.

Serving Tip –

Serve them hot and crisp with mayonnaise dip and ketchup.
