Rava Upma

For Rava Upma

Ingredients:

  1. Semolina – 1 Cup
  2. Cashews – 10-12 fried
  3. Green Chillies – 2 flakes
  4. Curry leaves – 10-12
  5. Salt – according to taste
  6. Sugar – 1 tea spoon
  7. Mustard Seeds – 1 teaspoon
  8. Urad Dhuli Dal – 1 teaspoon
  9. Onion – 1 medium (chopped)
  10. Water – 2 ½ Cup
  11. Refined Oil – 1 teaspoon
  12. Desi Ghee – 2-3 teaspoon
  13. Black pepper powder – ¼ teaspoon
  14. Ginger – 1 teaspoon (chopped)
  15. Peanuts – 10-12

Method –

Heat refined oil in a non-stick pan. Add peanuts, mustard seeds, urad dal, curry leaves, green chilies, ginger and saute for few seconds. Add onions and saute for two minutes. Add suji, salt, sugar, black pepper, cashews and saute for one minute again.

Add boiled water and ghee and cover it till water is absorbed (It will hardly take one minute). If you want you can add one more spoon of ghee, coriander leaves. Mix it well and your Rava Upma is ready to serve. (According to your taste you can add different vegetable like carrot, peas, beans, capsicum and peanuts which will bring different flavor to the dish).

Serving Tip:

Serve your Rava Upma with Green chutney or Tomato ketchup.
