For Veg Manchurian Gravy

Ingredients –

For Manchurian Balls

  1. Cabbage – 1 cup (chopped)
  2. Carrot – 1 cup (chopped)
  3. Beans – 1 cup (chopped)
  4. Spring Onions – ½ cup (chopped)
  5. Maida/Plain Flour – ½ cup
  6. Garlic – ½ tsp (chopped)
  7. Black Pepper Powder – ½ tsp
  8. Corn Flour – 2 tsp
  9. Salt – according to taste
  10. Water – 2-3 tsp
  11. Oil – to deep fry

For the sauce (gravy)

  1. Oil – 2 tsp
  2. Spring Onions – ½ Cup (Chopped)
  3. Garlic – 1 tsp (Finely Chopped)
  4. Ginger – 1 tsp (Finely Chopped)
  5. Green Chili – 1 flake (Finely Chopped)
  6. Black Pepper Powder – 1 tsp
  7. Soya Sauce – 2 tsp
  8. Chilli Tomato Sauce – 2 tsp
  9. Vinegar – ½ tsp [optional]
  10. Corn Flour – 1 tsp
  11. Water – 1 Cup
  12. Salt – according to taste

Method-

To make manchurian balls, mix all the ingredients under manchurian balls except oil and water and try making the balls out of the mixture. If mixture seems to be dry and you are unable to make balls then add 1 tsp water at a time.

Heat the oil in a pan to fry the balls. Apply some oil on to your palms and take small lemon size portion of the mixture and drop in the oil. Cook them on the medium flame so that it get cooked from inside as well. Fry them until it becomes the golden brown. Once you are done with the balls, drain them on a tissue paper and repeat the same for complete mixture.

To make sauce, heat oil in a pan and add garlic, ginger and saute it until it becomes golden brown in colour. Now add spring onions and green chillies in to it. Once it is bit cooked, add salt, black pepper powder, soya sauce, tomato chilli sauce and vinegar to the pan and stir occasionally. Now add corn flour in 1 cup of water and add it to the pan. Bring the water to the boil and continue to boil it until it gets the thicker consistency.

You can add the fried manchurian balls to the gravy and cook it on low flame for another 2 minutes. Garnish your veg Manchurian gravy with spring onions.

Serving Tip –

Serve the dish hot with Fried Rice or Steamed Rice.
